Many teens are affected with acne. So, acne skin care has always been a hot topic of discussion amongst the teens. Not only the females but the males are also affected equally. It is, in fact, common in the teenage years

When the child is small, the skin is quite soft. There are no changes in the texture of the skin till the stage of puberty is attained. Once the child enters the youth, pimples and acne start appearing on his face. If you do not take skin care measures, the acne problem may turn serious.

Many hair follicles are present on the skin. Under these follicles, there is a sebaceous gland that secretes extra oil from the skin. In some cases, dirt and dust block the pores of the skin, and the gland is unable to secrete the oily substance. Since all the dirt and the dust are present on the clogged pores, they become a breeding ground for bacteria. This result in pimples which later develop into acne.

Gradually, these pimples spread on your face. This is the time when you actually realize the problem, and start taking steps to control and eradicate this problem. This is a serious stage, mind you. If you do not follow proper skincare now, acne may even spread to the neck, back, etc.

There are several processes of skincare that can be used to get rid of this problem. Choose the one that you find suitable for your skin. The methods may be simple or even complicated. Their usage basically depends on the skin type and also the severity of your problem.

The basic and the best acne skin care method one should follow to remove acne is to wash the face frequently with fresh water. This will remove the excessive oil from your skin.

You may also choose to use a soap bar. Ensure the soap is not too harsh on your skin. Choose a neutral soft soap to wash your face as it will remove the dirt and also keep the hair follicles clean. Remember, the number of times your wash your face, the lesser will be the chances of the bacteria to grow.

Creams should generally not be applied on an acne prone skin. But, you can apply an antibiotic cream. It kills the germs already present on your face preventing acne from spreading to a larger area of the face.

If your acne problem is serious, you may follow certain complicated acne skin care methods. In cases of severity, you may settle for plastic surgery done with laser technology.
